Anna’s love of endurance sport and her passion for getting women of all ages participating in sport and getting active, was the catalyst for her becoming a Trustee of the Triathlon Trust. Initially a netball player and after representing England as a rower, she was involved in triathlon for a number of years winning age group World and European medals in long distance events. She is now an ultra distance runner still competing at home and abroad.
Although a solicitor by training, Anna’s professional life has been focused in financial services and she is now a non executive director of the Pension Protection Fund; T Bailey Fund Services, Aberdeen Diversified Income and Growth Trust plc and on the board of Leander Club.
When not training in the mountains in the Lake District or in the Alps with her husband and running partner, Richard, Anna can be found out on the trails in the Chilterns with her two teenage daughters who have both discovered (after much nagging) a love of the outdoors.
