To celebrate the anniversary of the London Olympics, the Foundation teamed up with the Hertfordshire Sports Partnership to host a duathlon event in Cassiobury Park, Watford.
With an opening and closing ceremony, flag painting and a 'mural of achievement', created by the children - the event had a real festival feel to it.
The duathlon event was a 600m off-road run, a 1km bike, followed by another 600m run in the beautiful setting of Cassiobury Park.
Many of the children enjoyed it so much they went round more than once, and one 9 year old even completed it four times!
It is hoped that the success of this event will pave the way for more events in the parks of Hertfordshire next year.
