This year’s Kids of Steel mini-triathlon series has drawn to a close after seven hugely successful events across the country. An incredible 5,387 children joined us over the seven mini-tri events - some for their first time, some for their second or even third time.
The Kids of Steel series gives children the opportunity to try all three aspects of triathlon in a fun and safe environment with the aim to inspire them to lead more active, healthy lifestyles, as well as providing a great day out for the local community. Events were held in Swansea, London, Corby, Mold and Sheffield between May and July, delivered by the British Triathlon Trust on behalf of British Triathlon and Tata Steel.
Inspiring.. The two girls below took part in a Kids of Steel event six years ago and are now keen triathletes and came back and volunteered as Young Leaders with us at the Mold Kids of Steel event in May.
A well-deserved congratulations..to every child who came along and gave triathlon a ‘tri’, you should be very proud of yourselves and we hope your medal has pride of place somewhere special!
Thank you.. to all the fantastic volunteers who joined us across the country – your energy, enthusiasm and high fives ensured every child left with a smile on their face and helped us to ensure each event went smoothly and safely.
