Manchester gets active at the Tri Expo

Published:

The Trust took their 200m row - 500m bike - 100m run format Dry Tri to the Manchester Triathlon Expo and gave the children a great chance to get active and earn a certificate and tattoo. Over 300 children took part in the event over the weekend. The event was funded by Zoot and 6 lucky children were drawn at random to win a rucksack. Congratulations to Lucy Grantham, Natalie Webster, Archie Metcalfe, Eva Markland, Sam Gillibrand and Archie Peers-Buxton who will all be looking cool with their new Zoot rucksacks.

Alongside the children's activity, we also gave the adults a chance to get involved with a competitive adult version of 500m row - 1km bike - 40 speed jumps and a chance to win a pair of Zoot trainers for the fastest times male and female each day. The competition was taken seriously and the Army even got involved, but despite some huge shows of strength on the row and bike sections, it was those who managed to deal best with the final speed jumps who posted the fastest times.
