On March 21st the Triathlon Trust teamed up with London Youth Rowing (LYR) to give children a chance to take on a bike-run challenge.
The children, who were attending the popular National Junior Indoor Rowing Challenge (NJIRC) at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre, came from a mix of schools including inner-London boroughs.
After the children had competed in their indoor rowing competition they were encouraged to complete an 800m bike-600m run....with 1,960 taking on the challenge.
For those children who couldn't ride a bike, scooters were made available and even the LYR mascot joined in the fun and gave it a go!
This was the first outing for our new Cuda bikes which proved very popular with the kids (www.cudabikes.co.uk)
