The Triathlon Trust are proud to be supported by Accenture who are funding a series of kids’ duathlon events at schools across the UK this winter, giving schools the chance to take on the Space to Earth Challenge.
The indoor events are giving schoolchildren the opportunity to take part in a fun and engaging run-bike-run distance challenge, set to high energy music, using bikes set up on turbos trainers. Many thanks to Accenture employees who are fundraising in their regional teams and have nominated local schools to benefit from the project. They also volunteer at the event, helping deliver a fun-filled day and inspiring children to get more active!
Two events have taken place so far, one at Hurlingham Academy in central London where Accenture employees had the opportunity to become an astronaut for the day in a real space suit, and one at Orchard Lea Primary in Portsmouth where pupils and volunteers got to meet Triathlon Trust ambassador and Paralympic medalist Lauren Steadman.
