The Trust rounded off a hugely successful 2015 by being awarded a runners-up prize at the Hertfordshire, Service to Sports Awards.
Although the Trust have organised several events in the region, this award was specifically for the Samuel Ryder Mini-Triathlon that enabled 100's of local schoolchildren to complete their first triathlon.
The Trust provided all the equipment, and alternatives for those who couldn't swim or ride bikes.
The event was well supported by both young leaders from the Samuel Ryder Academy and local community volunteers who helped the event to run smoothly.
The event was supported by the Hertfordshire cycling project who handed out maps of local safe-riding routes to all the schools who attended and a local bike shop who gave out water-bottles to those who took on their bike-ride challenge.
The event was part-funded by local company Stodec Trading Ltd who it is hoped will also fund a larger 2016 event.
